Couple Set Ablaze in Jaipur; Family Members Arrested
Jaipur police have detained two individuals following a brutal attack on a couple allegedly set on fire by the woman's family. The family reportedly disapproved of the couple's relationship.
The Incident
According to the FIR filed by Kailash Chand Gurjar, 36, he was sleeping in a hut on his field when the incident occurred. Gurjar reported that Birdichand and Ganesh, members of the woman's family, then appeared. "As soon as they arrived, they doused both of us with petrol and set us on fire, burning both of us," Gurjar stated in the FIR. He managed to escape and extinguish the flames with the help of family members, while the woman remained near the hut.
