Terrible Crime in Gurgaon: Auto Driver Kidnaps and Hurts Children

In Gurgaon, a city in India, a very sad and serious crime happened. An auto driver kidnapped two young sisters, aged 8 and 6 years old. He took them to a lonely area and hurt the older girl. Later, when police tried to catch him, the driver jumped from a bridge.

How the Girls Were Kidnapped

Last Saturday, the two sisters were playing with other children in Manesar. Around 5 PM, a 29-year-old auto driver named Sarvesh stopped nearby. Police say he had planned his actions. He offered the girls chocolates and other snacks.

He talked to them and asked if they wanted a ride around the play area. When the girls agreed, Sarvesh drove them to a quiet, isolated spot. There, he sexually assaulted the 8-year-old girl. The younger sister was still in the auto during this time.

A Passerby Helps and Police Respond Fast

Luckily, a local person was walking by and saw the auto driver. This person felt something was wrong and quickly raised an alarm. Seeing someone notice him, the auto driver got scared and ran away, leaving his auto behind.

The helpful passerby immediately called the police. Soon after, a police team, including crime branch officers, arrived at the scene. Police quickly told the girls' family what happened and took the girls for a medical check-up.

Police Catch the Driver After a Chase

Police formed many teams to find Sarvesh. On Monday, the Manesar crime branch used both online and offline information to track him down. They found Sarvesh waiting for a bus on the KMP Expressway, trying to run away from Gurgaon.

When Sarvesh saw the police, he panicked. He jumped from the KMP flyover (a type of bridge) to escape. But he fell and broke both his legs. Police immediately took him into custody.

Details About the Driver and Legal Action

Police said that Sarvesh is 29 years old. He is married and has a daughter. He lives alone in Kasan, while his family stays in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.

Sarvesh is now getting medical treatment in a local hospital for his broken legs. He has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the Manesar police station. This law is very strict to protect children from sexual crimes.

Support for the Young Victims

Even though the girls did not have major physical injuries, this was a very bad experience for them. Both sisters are now receiving counselling to help them deal with what happened.
